NATIONAL WINNER OF THE OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AWARD, NAAEE CONFERENCE, FALL 2012 At their annual conference, the North American Association for Environmental Education presented this award in recognition of Acorn Naturalists' efforts in promoting and providing EE leadership at the regional level.
SPECIAL MENTION OF ACORN NATURALISTS IN BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS (SPRING 2012): In their article on Arbor Day entitled "Celebrate Trees," Better Homes and Gardens' Country Gardens magazine highlighted Acorn Naturalists for their practice of promoting the use of birdhouses made in the US using sustainably grown woods. They also complimented Acorn Naturalists for promoting "nestboxes that are functional, attracting cavity-nesting birds that might otherwise have trouble finding a good home."

ACORN NATURALISTS MAKES FRONT PAGE NEWS! (Orange County Register, March 26, 2010). Acorn Naturalists was featured on the front page of the Orange County Register for their Center's water-wise California native plant gardens. ACORN NATURALISTS RECEIVES TUSTIN PRESERVATION CONSERVANCY AWARD (May 2007): In a major competition, Acorn Naturalists received the top award for "new construction that best reflects the character and integrity of the Old Town area." Years in the planning, the Acorn Naturalists building was designed to reflect the American Craftsman architectural style. ACORN NATURALISTS' RECEIVES ENVIRONMENTAL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD
