Jon Sherman has been singing about the beautiful, yet endangered wilderness areas around southern California for over 16 years. As a singer/songwriter/poet and naturalist, Jon uses music to celebrate the diverse bioregions that are still found in this densely populated part of the world. His first CD, Butterfly Blue, named after the endangered Palos Verdes Blue Butterfly, features 18 songs and poems that take the listener on a “healing journey of integration with the natural world.” His latest CD, Under the Oaks, is a wonderful celebration of seven key bird species that live in oak woodland communities. The authentic vocalizations, combined with Jon’s mastery of the Native American Flute, create music that is truly breathtaking. Jon performs throughout the area, powering his concerts with his completely solar powered amplifiers.
