| KESTREL BIRDHOUSE (17-3/4” x 9-1/4” x 11”). The American kestrel cannot excavate its own hole, and thus depends on finding the larger nest holes of woodpeckers. Since these are often in very short supply, nesting boxes can greatly influence kestrel survival. Designed into these specialty boxes is an interior perch – young kestrels like to peer out to see when their next meal is being delivered. Wood chips for these birdhouses are also included along with directions for placement of this birdhouse. #T-8400.
