Resource Description
AMERICAN KESTREL SKULL REPLICA. Museum quality Bone Clone® reproduction of Falco sparverius, the smallest and most common of the North American falcons. Often found perching on fence posts adjacent to open fields, the plumage of the kestrel is striking. At one time referred to as the "sparrow hawk", Kestrels feed on insects and small rodents. They nest in natural tree cavities made by woodpeckers or in artificial nesting boxes such as the one offered by Acorn Naturalists. This hand-crafted museum quality bird skull measures 1-1/2" long x 1" wide x 3/4" high. #R-16202.
