| MACROMANIA. This classroom adventure kit introduces the use of stream macroinvertebrates such as dragonfly and caddisfly larvae as indicators of water quality. Student teams are given a deck of macroinvertebrate cards representing one of three sites. Students then determine the water quality of their site by classifying the cards on sorting sheets. Optional math, public speaking, writing, art, and card game extensions further emphasize the connections between land use and water quality issues.
