| REGULAR OWL PELLETS (averaging 1-1/2" - 2" in length). Since all pellets are collected in the wild, there is tremendous variation in quality from one vendor to another. We offer only the highest quality pellets, carefully screened for quality and size. Our pellets are wrapped in foil, heat-treated, and carefully stored in sealed plastic bags. Pellets consist of undigested hair and bones that owls spit up following a meal. As such, they contain valuable clues to what the owl was eating and the habitat in which the owl was hunting. Identify bones using bone charts or display your findings in the glass-topped displays offered by Acorn Naturalists.
