| SMILODON SKULL REPLICA (dark brown tar pit finish). Precise replica of Smilodon californicus. Sometimes refered to as the saber-toothed cat, this animal roamed throughout the West—skeletal remains were found in great abundance at the La Brea Tar Pits where many became mired in the same tar that consumed the animals these cats were feeding on. This museum quality replica has a "stained brown tar" finish and measures 13" long x 8" wide x 12" high. Comes with a solid oak base and an engraved brass plaque.
