Acorn Naturalists specializes in the development and distribution of high quality educational resources for Scout, Camp Fire USA, YMCA, Boys and Girls Clubs of America various afterschool education programs, and other programs for youth. Literally thousands of quality hands-on educational activities are available on our website acornnaturalists.com, in our printed catalog (which you can download here or contact us to receive a copy by mail) or at our walk-in Store.
In addition to this website, our printed catalog, and store, we have developed downloadable guides that correlate resources offered by Acorn Naturalists with Girl and Boy Scout merit badge and elective requirements. The educational resources we offer are selected by credentialed teachers and are designed to inspire and educate - to enhance afterschool and outdoor learning experiences while having fun! While keyed to Scout programs, these materials are sorted by age and thus, for example, programs for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (such as their exempliary Project Learning program), could be pulled from age-appropriate Boy and Girl Scout categories. We also have a comprehensive Early Childhood Education section on our website (see column at the far left side of each web page) which contains hundreds of activities for young children.
