Activities focus on using tree rings to calculate the age of a tree or limb, determining climatic change and adaptation (through changing growth ring patterns), identifying tree anatomy (heartwood, sapwood, cambium and inner/outer bark layers) and finding fire scars or unusual growth patterns.
