The first resource catalog, a 16-page listing of science and environmental education activity books, has grown into a 208 page catalog that showcases thousands of exemplary science and outdoor education resources for all ages and abilities. This catalog is available both in printed form and online.

The consulting division of the company, The Acorn Group, specializes in advancing the field of museum design, outdoor education, playscape design, trail media, exhibit design, strategic planning for education, and program evaluation.

Acorn Naturalists Center for Science and Environmental Education houses all of the resources listed in the catalog, a science and nature giftstore, expanded mail order facilities to support the catalog, and the museum design and environmental consulting division of the company. Built in American Craftsman style, this green facility is accented with slate, wood, copper trim, and old clinker brick and lichen-covered stonework. The oak doors that grace the front entrance are hand crafted, reflecting the spirit of the early Arts and Crafts Movement where the endeavors of individuals were held in highest regard.

Acorn Naturalists Center also reflects the company's core values of integrity and innovation. From its drought-tolerant native landscaping to its energy-efficient construction, comprehensive in-house recycling program, unique stormwater diversion system, and energy conservation measures, the Center strives to be a model of what businesses can and should do. In recognition of these state of the art green programs, the League of Conservation honored Acorn Naturalists with the Orange County Environmental Business of the Year Award. The cofounders and current Directors of the company were also honored with the Howard Bell Award for Outstanding Achievements and Contributions as Leaders in the Field of Environmental Education by the Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education.
