Bear-ly There

A big black bear shows up one moonlit night and creates a real ruckus, first breaking into a shed where the grain is kept, then raiding the bird feeders. The bear is also causing problems at other homes in the neighborhood. A young boy helps clear the neighborhood yards of any food that would tempt the bear. The reader is introduced to the pleasures of watching large wildlife at a distance along with the problems of having it attracted to a backyard. For readers in grades 3 through 6.
