Without question, these are the finest bluebird houses available. Mount the house 4 to 6 feet high, overlooking an open area or field. The 1½” entrance hole is the correct size for bluebirds. A wooden predator guard keeps starlings, squirrels, and other unwanted colonizers out, while the small floor area discourages colonization by sparrows. The rough, unpainted wood surface allows birds to perch and crawl inside as they would in natural settings. All of our birdhouses incorporate ventilation, drainage, and easy cleaning features.
