Rubbing plates offer a creative way for children to learn about the diversity of insect life. To make artistic rubbings, simply lay a sheet of paper over the top and rub with a pencil. This set includes mosquito, dragonfly, cicada, ladybug, grasshopper, fly, cockroach, bumblebee, ant, scarab beetle, wasp, luna moth, monarch butterfly and swallowtail butterfly, stag beetle, and longhorn beetle. The set comes with directions and ideas for expanding this art form into many unique projects and lessons. Each plate measures approximately 4½" x 6½”. Rubbing plates are recommended for children ages 5 and up.
