This life-size track mold can be filled with clay or Perfect Cast®, the durable replica compound used by museum professionals (also available from Acorn Naturalists). Use this blue jay and woodpecker track mold to make casts that can be pressed into moist sand, dirt, or ink to make track patterns. Have students take home their own track cast, or paint them for use in displays. This single mold creates four bird tracks (two woodpecker and two blue jay tracks) with the names below (reversed out on the mold so that the names appear correctly on the positive cast). To keep track molds fresh, wash occasionally with detergent. Track molds are recommended for ages 8 and up, with adult supervision.
