Bread Mold (Fruiting Bodies) Prepared Microscope Slide

Molds reproduce by releasing spores from "fruiting bodies" that emerge under certain environmental conditions, generally when a mold is beginning to dry out. These spores then spread to other areas and when conditions are right again (moisture) they "hatch" out and develop into more mold. This slIde shows these fruiting bodies emerGing from the base mycelium of the mold.
