Nitrogen from agricultural runoff or other sources can show up in the form of nitrate and/or nitrite. Usually both parameters are tested to give a better picture of the chemical state and availability of nitrogenous compounds in the water. This LaMotte kit tests for nitrites in the range of 0-1000 ppm using direct read titration calibrated in parts per million (ppm) nitrite as sodium nitrite (NaNO2). The kit provides enough materials for 50 tests. A refill is also available for this kit (see Related Products, below).
