This practical kit was developed by naturalists to help teachers and outdoor educators introduce young students to birdwatching. Teaching children to focus on and track birds with binoculars is often the biggest hurdle. This kit solves this problem by offering 12 life-size full-color bird cards mounted on poster board (for stationary placement in the field to train young birders in the use of binoculars), a copy of Peterson’s First Guide to Birds, and an activity guide. These engaging, hands-on birding activities are recommended for children ages 7 to 11. Editors: Natural Heritage Trust |
