Rattlesnake (Western Diamondback) Skull Replica
Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Skull Replica
This dramatic rattlesnake skull replica was cast from a museum specimen of Crotalus atrox. Reproduced in incredible detail, this replica shows both the main and the backup fangs (that replace those that may be lost during feeding). Shows unique detaching jaw structure that allows these pit vipers to swallow large rodents. Roadrunner birds will take on small rattlesnakes, and after consuming them, their stomach acids break down the venom into simple proteins. Rattlesnakes are extremely valuable rodent control predators that should not be killed. If found in a backyard or other location where where people are living, they can be relocated by animal control but should never be killed. Rattlesnake skull includes stand and clear post for mounting. Attractive, protective display case "D" is also available - please see Related Products below.
