Nesting sites are generally in short supply for cavity-nesting birds. Unfortunately, the vast majority of birdhouses are more decorative than functional. The ones offered by Acorn Naturalists work—we have personally installed and field-tested them in appropriate locations. The natural, unpainted wood surfaces let birds crawl around inside as they would in natural settings. All feature correct dimensions, openings, and all incorporate proper ventilation, drainage, and easy cleaning features. Instructions are provided with each for successfully attracting the appropriate bird species for each specific nest box.
