Electricity and Magnetism Activity Kit: Understanding the Force of Electromagnetism

With this hands-on kit, more than 60 electrifying experiments with circuits and magnetic contraptions are conducted to learn about electricity and magnetism. Children will: build classic models of series and parallel circuits that light up a light bulb; conduct tests to see which materials are magnetic; learn about the force of magnetism and magnetic poles; learn how to magnetize a metal and use iron filings to make invisible magnetic fields become visible; investigate magnetic force and direction with a magnetic pendulum device; learn how a compass works and about Earth’s magnetic fields; and construct a loudspeaker, an electromagnetic relay switch, and a Morse code telegraph key. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
