Rubbing plates offer a creative way for children to learn about the beauty and variety of leaves. To make artistic rubbings, simply lay a sheet of paper over the top and rub with a pencil. This leaf set includes ginkgo, sycamore, birch, tulip poplar, linden, sugar maple, sassafras, sweet gum, buckeye, hickory, dogwood, holly, box elder, willow, white oak, and elm. The set comes with directions and ideas for expanding this art form into many unique projects and lessons. Each plate measures approximately 4" x 5”. Rubbing plates are recommended for children ages 5 and up.
