Carbon dioxide is useful for determining the buffering capacity of water, phytoplanktonic activity, and microbial respiration (decomposition of organics) levels. This LaMotte kit uses a standard phenolphthalein titration technique to measure 0-50 ppm carbon dioxide in 1 ppm increments. The kit provides enough materials for 50 tests at 50 ppm. A refill is also available for this kit (see Related Products, below).
