Seismograph Model

Students will enjoy devising ways to top the Richter scale with this easy-to-use classroom seismograph. Earthquakes are simulated and recorded on a strip-chart. Students then determine the effect of different kinds of motion (sideways, pounding, etc.) by studying the graphed recordings. This amazing measuring tool comes complete with a teacher's guide containing activities and information for students in grades 6 through 12.
