Raven Pellet

Similar to owls, ravens "cough up" pellets consisting of undigested bones, fur, and seeds. Ravens often forage along roads, picking away at whatever they happen to find. Raven pellets are much harder to find than owl pellets and supply can be limited. There is also much more variation in the contents of raven pellets: lizard, snake, rodent and bird bones along with seeds from fruit they have consumed. For these reasons, raven pellets are very interesting to dissect as a supplement to traditional barn owl pellet dissections. Our pellets are wrapped in foil, heat-treated, and carefully stored in sealed plastic bags.

Raven pellets generally measure 1½" to 2½" long.
