Mineral Hunt Kit

With this hands-on kit, students learn to identify 12 common minerals through observing and testing their physical properties. The kit contains a one pound bag of mineral chips, forceps, a streak plate, a magnet, and a magnifier. Three included rock samples show how rocks are composed of small mineral chips, similar to the ones that the students work to identify. This creative mineral discovery kit includes teacher's guide and storage box. Recommended for grades 6 through 12.
