Messages From Space: The Solar System and Beyond (GEMS)

This engaging unit from Great Explorations in Math and Science (GEMS) opens with a binary-coded message from space and proceeds to take the class on a journey through our solar system and beyond. Students model size and distance, explore how systems may have been formed, explore stellar life zones and design space travel brochures based on their observations.
